Flow″er–fence′ (?), n.(Bot.) A tropical leguminous bush (Poinciana, orCæsalpinia, pulcherrima) with prickly branches, and showy yellow or red flowers; — so named from its having been sometimes used for hedges in the West Indies. Baird.
