{ Fu″sil‐eer″, Fu″sil‐ier″ } (?), n. [F. fusilier, fr. fusil.] (Mil.) (a) Formerly, a soldier armed with a fusil. Hence, in the plural: (b) A title now borne by some regiments and companies; as, “The Royal Fusiliers,” etc.
