‖Gym′no‐so″ma‐ta (–sō″mȧ‐tȧ or –sŏm″ȧ‐tȧ), n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. γυμνόσ naked + σω̑μα, σώματοσ, the body.] (Zoöl.) One of the orders of Pteropoda. They have no shell.
