‖Hæm′o‐cy′to‐tryp″sis (–sī′tō̍‐trĭp″sĭs), n. [NL., fr. Gr. αἱ̑μα blood + κύτοσ hollow vessel + τρίβειν to rub, grind.] (Physiol.) A breaking up of the blood corpuscles, as by pressure, in distinction from solution of the corpuscles, or hæmocytolysis.
