Hardihood

Har″di‐hood (–ho͝od), n. [Hardy + -hood.] Boldness, united with firmness and constancy of mind; bravery; intrepidity; also, audaciousness; impudence.

A bound of graceful hardihood. Wordsworth.

It is the society of numbers which gives hardihood to iniquity. Buckminster.
