Hatch (hăch), v. t. [imp. & p. p.Hatched (hăcht); p. pr. & vb. n.Hatching.] [F. hacher to chop, hack. See Hash.] 1. To cross with lines in a peculiar manner in drawing and engraving. See Hatching.
