Hep″a‐to–pan″cre‐as (?), n. [Gr. ἡ̑παρ, ἥπατοσ, the liver + E. pancreas.] (Zoöl.) A digestive gland in Crustacea, Mollusca, etc., usually called the liver, but different from the liver of vertebrates.
