Het′er‐og″a‐mous (?), a. [Hetero- + Gr. γάμοσ marriage: cf. F. hétérogame.] (Bot. & Biol.) (a) The condition of having two or more kinds of flowers which differ in regard to stamens and pistils, as in the aster. (b) Characterized by heterogamy.
