Hor″ri‐fy (?), v. t. [imp. & p. p.Horrified (?); p. pr. & vb. n.Horrifying (?).] [L. horrificare. See Horrific.] To cause to feel horror; to strike or impress with horror; as, the sight horrified the beholders. E. Irving.
