‖Hy′per‐a‐poph″y‐sis (?), n.; pl.Hyperapophyses (#). [NL. See Hyper-, and Apophysis.] (Anat.) A lateral and backward-projecting process on the dorsal side of a vertebra. — Hy′per‐ap′o‐phys″i‐al (#), a.
