In‐fang″thef (?), n. [AS. in-fangen-þeóf; in in, into + fangen taken (p. p. of fōn to take) + þeóf thief.] (O. Eng. Law) The privilege granted to lords of certain manors to judge thieves taken within the seigniory of such lords. Cowell.
