‖Le″pas (lē″păs), n. [L., a limpet, fr. Gr. λεπάσ.] (Zoöl.) Any one of various species of Lepas, a genus of pedunculated barnacles found attached to floating timber, bottoms of ships, Gulf weed, etc.; — called also goose barnacle. See Barnacle.
