Loot (lo͞ot), n. [Hind. lūṭ, Skr. lōtra, lōptra, booty, lup to break, spoil; prob. akin to E. rob.] 1. The act of plundering.

2. Plunder; booty; especially, the booty taken in a conquered or sacked city.
