Mam″mon (?), n. [L. mammona, Gr. � riches, Syr. mam�nā; cf. Heb. matm�n a hiding place, subterranean storehouse, treasury, fr. tāman to hide.] Riches; wealth; the god of riches; riches, personified.

Ye can not serve God and Mammon. Matt. vi. 24.
