Manse (?), n. [LL. mansa, mansus, mansum, a farm, fr. L. manere, mansum, to stay, dwell. See Mansion, Manor.] 1. A dwelling house, generally with land attached.

2. The parsonage; a clergyman's house.

Capital manse, the manor house, or lord's court.
