Mar″ble, v. t. [imp. & p. p.Marbled (?); p. pr. & vb. n.Marbling (?).] [Cf. F. marbrer. See Marble, n.] To stain or vein like marble; to variegate in color; as, to marble the edges of a book, or the surface of paper.
