Mi″cro‐sthene (?), n. [Micro- + Gr. σθένοσ might, strength.] (Zoöl.) One of a group of mammals having a small size as a typical characteristic. It includes the lower orders, as the Insectivora, Cheiroptera, Rodentia, and Edentata.
