Mis″an‐thrope (mĭs″ăn‐thrōp), n. [Gr. μισάνθρωποσ; μισει̑ν to hate + ἄνθρωποσ a man; cf. F. misanthrope. Cf. Miser.] A hater of mankind; a misanthropist.
