‖Mo‐not″ro‐pa (?), n. [NL., fr. Gr. μόνοσ single + � turn, from � to turn.] (Bot.) A genus of parasitic or saprophytic plants including the Indian pipe and pine sap. The name alludes to the dropping end of the stem.
