‖Næ″vus (nē″vŭs), n.; pl.Nævi (–vī). (Med.) A spot or mark on the skin of children when born; a birthmark; — usually applied to vascular tumors, i.e., those consisting mainly of blood vessels, as dilated arteries, veins, or capillaries.
