Nib″ble (?), v. t. [imp. & p. p.Nibbled (?); p. pr. & vb. n.Nibbling (?).] [Cf. Nip.] To bite by little at a time; to seize gently with the mouth; to eat slowly or in small bits.

Thy turfy mountains, where live nibbling sheep. Shak.
