No′to‐don″tian (?), n. [Gr. νω̑τον the back + οδοὔσ, οδὄντοσ, a tooth.] (Zoöl.) Any one of several species of bombycid moths belonging to Notodonta, Nerice, and allied genera. The caterpillar of these moths has a hump, or spine, on its back.
