‖Oc′to‐cer″a‐ta (?), n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. οκτὤ eight + �, a horn.] (Zoöl.) A suborder of Cephalopoda including Octopus, Argonauta, and allied genera, having eight arms around the head; — called also Octopoda.
