Oc″to‐style (?), a. [Octo- + Gr. � a pillar: cf. F. octostyle.] (Arch.) Having eight columns in the front; — said of a temple or portico. The Parthenon is octostyle, but most large Greek temples are hexastyle. See Hexastyle. — n. An octostyle portico or temple.
