Oncotomy

On‐cot″o‐my (ŏṉ″kŏt‐ō̍‐my̆), n. [Gr. ὄγκοσ bulk, mass + τέμνειν to cut: cf. F. oncotomie.] (Surg.) The opening of an abscess, or the removal of a tumor, with a cutting instrument. [Written also onkotomy.] Dunglison.
