On″slaught′ (?), n. [OE. on on + slaught, slaht, slaughter. See Slaughter.] 1. An attack; an onset; esp., a furious or murderous attack or assault.

By storm and onslaught to proceed. Hudibras.

2. A bloody fray or battle. Jamieson.
