Pa‐gu″ri‐an (?), n. [L. pagurus a kind of crab, Gr. πάγουροσ.] (Zoöl.) Any one of a tribe of anomuran crustaceans, of which Pagurus is a type; the hermit crab. See Hermit crab, under Hermit.
