Per′si‐enne″ (pẽr′sĭ‐ĕn″; –shĭ‐ĕn″; F. pẽr′syĕn″), n. [F., fem. of presien Persian.] Properly, printed calico, whether Oriental or of fanciful design with flowers, etc., in Western work. Hence, as extended in English, material of a similar character.
