Plague, v. t. [imp. & p. p.Plagued (?); p. pr. & vb. n.Plaguing.] 1. To infest or afflict with disease, calamity, or natural evil of any kind.

Thus were they plagued

2. Fig.: To vex; to tease; to harass.
