Ram″part, v. t. [imp. & p. p.Ramparted; p. pr. & vb. n.Ramparting.] To surround or protect with, or as with, a rampart or ramparts.

Rampart gun(Fort.), a cannon or large gun for use on a rampart and not as a fieldpiece.
