Re‐sect″ (r?–s?kt″), v. t. [imp. & p. p.Resected;p. pr. & vb. n.Resecting.] [L. resectus, p. p. of resecare to cut off; pref. re- re- + secare to cut.] To cut or pare off; to remove by cutting.
