Scaphognathite

Sca‐phog″na‐thite (?), n. [Gr. σκάφη boat + γνάθοσ jaw.] (Zoöl.) A thin leafike appendage (the exopodite) of the second maxilla of decapod crustaceans. It serves as a pumping organ to draw the water through the gill cavity.
