Scol″e‐cite (? or?; 277), n. [Gr. σκώληξ, -ηκοσ, a worm, earthworm.] (Min.) A zeolitic mineral occuring in delicate radiating groups of white crystals. It is a hydrous silicate of alumina and lime. Called also lime mesotype.
