Sys″tyle (?), a. [L. systylos, Gr. σύν with columns standing close; σύν with + � a column: cf. F. systyle.] (Arch.) Having a space equal to two diameters or four modules between two columns; — said of a portico or building. See Intercolumniation. — n. A systyle temple or other edifice.
