‖Tem″po (?), n. [It., fr. L. tempus. See Tense, n.] (Mus.) The rate or degree of movement in time.

‖A tempo giusto (jo͞os″tō̍), in exact time; — sometimes, directing a return to strict time after a tempo rubato. — Tempo rubato. See under Rubato.
