Tin″cal (?), n. [Ar., Per. & Hind. tinkār; cf. Malay tingkal; all fr. Skr. �a�ka�a. Cf. Altincar.] (Chem.) Crude native borax, formerly imported from Thibet. It was once the chief source of boric compounds. Cf. Borax.
