Tracheobranchia

‖Tra′che‐o‐bran″chi‐a (?), n.; pl.Tracheobranchlae (#). [NL. See Trachea, and Branchia.] (Zoöl.) One of the gill-like breathing organs of certain aquatic insect larvæ. They contain tracheal tubes somewhat similar to those of other insects.
