‖Tra′chy‐me‐du″sæ (?), n. pl. [NL., fr.Gr. � rough + medusa.] (Zoöl.) A division of acalephs in which the development is direct from the eggs, without a hydroid stage. Some of the species are parasitic on other medusæ.
