Trans‐place″ (?), v. t. [imp. & p. p.Transplaced (?); p. pr. & vb. n.Transplacing (?).] [Pref. trans- + place.] To remove across some space; to put in an opposite or another place.

It was transplaced... from the left side of the Vatican into a more eminent place. Bp. Wilkins.
