‖Tri‐pit″a‐ka (?), n. [Skr. tripiṭaka.] The three divisions, or “baskets” (pitakas), of buddhist scriptures, — the Vinayapitaka [Skr. Vinayapiṭaka], or Basket of Discipline; Suttapitaka, or Basket of Discourses; and Abhidhammapitaka, or Basket of Metaphysics.
