Umbrageous

Um‐bra″geous (ŭm‐brā″jŭs; 277), a. [Cf. F. ombrageux shy, skittish, suspicious, in OF. also, shady. See Umbrage.] 1. Forming or affording a shade; shady; shaded; as, umbrageous trees or foliage.

2. Not easily perceived, as if from being darkened or shaded; obscure. Sir H. Wotton.
