Un‐prob″a‐bly, adv. [Un- + L. probabilis approvable, fr. probare to approve. Cf. Probable.] In a manner not to be approved of; improperly.

To diminish, by the authority of wise and knowing men, things unjustly and unprobably crept in. Strype.
