Zo″nar (?), n. [Mod. Gr. � a girdle, fr. Gr. �, dim. of � a girdle. See Zone.] A belt or girdle which the Christians and Jews of the Levant were obliged to wear to distinguish them from Mohammedans. [Written also zonnar.]
