‖Zo″ön (?), n.; pl.Zoa (#). [NL., fr. Gr. ζῳ̑ον an animal.] (Zoöl.) (a) An animal which is the sole product of a single egg; — opposed to zooid. H. Spencer. (b) Any one of the perfectly developed individuals of a compound animal.
