A‐cat′a‐lec″tic (�), a. [L. acatalecticus, Gr. �, not defective at the end; ἀ priv. + � to cease.] (Pros.) Not defective; complete; as, an acatalectic verse. — n. A verse which has the complete number of feet and syllables.
