{ ‖Ca‐chex″i‐a (?), Ca‐chex″y (?) }, n. [L. cachexia, Gr. καχεξία; κακόσ bad + ἕξισ condition.] A condition of ill health and impairment of nutrition due to impoverishment of the blood, esp. when caused by a specific morbid process (as cancer or tubercle).
