Cadilesker

Ca′di‐les″ker (?), n. [Ar. qāḍī judge + al'sker the army, Per. leshker.] A chief judge in the Turkish empire, so named originally because his jurisdiction extended to the cases of soldiers, who are now tried only by their own officers.
