Cer″e‐vis (sĕr″ē̍‐vĭs; G. tsĕr′ẽ‐vēs″), n. [G., fr. L. cerevisia, cervisia, beer.] A small visorless cap, worn by members of German student corps. It is made in the corps colors, and usually bears the insignia of the corps.
