‖Cy″pris (s?″pr?s), n.; pl.Cyprides (s�p″r�–d�z). [L. Cypris, the Cyprian goddess Venus, Gr. Κύπρισ. See Cyprian.] (Zoöl.) A genus of small, bivalve, fresh-water Crustacea, belonging to the Ostracoda; also, a member of this genus.
