Dakotas

Da‐ko″tas (?), n. pl.; sing. Dacota (�). (Ethnol.) An extensive race or stock of Indians, including many tribes, mostly dwelling west of the Mississippi River; — also, in part, called Sioux. [Written also Dacotahs.]
